Shreya [sh.ray.ah] is going to take the world by storm with her new fitness and nutrition program, 28 Unlocked, launching March 2019! What is 28 Unlocked you may ask? It’s basically a fitness and nutrition program for women that revolves around their hormones. During certain times of the month our bodies are more apt to build muscle, while other times more prone to burn fat. Therefore, we should be tailoring our nutrition and workout programs to take advantage of these fluctuations. Basically the main idea behind 28 Unlocked is work SMARTER not HARDER. Well here, here! I’m all about that! As someone who has recently found it hard to get behind a solid fitness and nutrition program, I can’t WAIT to try Shreya’s 28 Unlocked method!
So a little bit about Shreya…She looks like the real life version of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, but if Jasmine owned a fitness studio in Agrabah after her and Aladdin settled down. Ha! Seriously though, Shreya is such a gorgeous person inside and out. I first met Shreya when I got a Groupon for a local CrossFit gym in my area. I drank the CrossFit Kool-aid and quickly became one of those people who made Snatch jokes and would tell anyone my ‘Fran’ time without them even asking…or caring. I switched to a full on Paleo diet and lived and breathed all things CrossFit.
Our CrossFit gym shared a space with a Chiropractor right next door and a lot of the CrossFit members would go get “cracked” by Dr. Devin. Whenever they would talk about Dr. Devin, inevitably they would always mention his wife, Shreya, and how cool and gorgeous she was. I had never met Shreya before, so she started to hold this mythical unicorn status in my world, until one day, I walked into a CrossFit class and there she was. Cue fog machine, light raining down from heaven, pan to close up of Shreya next to a barbell, while the first few cords of Black Sabbath’s Iron Man Woman plays…
I grabbed a spot right next to her of course because I had to meet the one and only Shreya. Then she introduced herself, “Hi! I’m Shreya!” just all normal and stuff. I almost dropped down into a Wayne’s World, “I’m not worthy!”, but kept it together. And that was that! We became friends right away and would practice our snatches together (tee hee, it never gets old). After I left CrossFit we remained friends and would meet for Paleo lunches together to catch up on life. So when she reached out to me and told me her vision for her new program, 28 Unlocked, I was beyond excited for her. I was so honored that she trusted me to photograph something so important to her. I know Shreya is going to be a wild success and I’m so thrilled to have a front row seat.
