SERENDIPITY GARDEN WEDDINGS
Kira and Adam’s outdoor garden wedding at Serendipity was everything! While there really is a lot of technical skill and knowledge that goes into being a photographer, in all honesty, about 25% of it is just pure luck. It’s pure luck when the sun sets right where you need it to, pure luck when the forecast calls for rain and then it doesn’t, and pure luck when you show up to the venue and it’s to die for gorgeous. Nothing gets a wedding photographer more excited than a gorgeous venue…besides a gorgeous dress, flowers, and details…okay look, we love all of it, haha, but the venue is the main backdrop for all of the gorgeousness to take place so I think it deserves top billing.
Walking around the venue in the morning to scout out locations was nothing short of pure joy. Around every corner I, “oohed” and “awed” and I could not wait to photograph all the things! I also thought on numerous occasions that I should just get remarried to my husband so I could have my wedding here. I’m sure he’d totally go for that without one single laugh or eye roll. But enough about me and my imaginary re-weddings (that’s a word right?) and back to the couple who actually did get married here!
Kira and Adam are such a fun couple! They never take themselves too seriously, laugh at/with each other constantly, and are so completely head over heels in love with each other! They are that couple that you never have to ask to “Giggle Kiss” for you, because they are already giggle kissing non-stop. If you’re one of my couples you know ALL about the infamous Giggle Kiss! I honestly don’t think I even said the words, “giggle kiss” the entire day because I didn’t need to.
If I had to use one word to describe Kira and Adam’s wedding day, I’d say FUN! In all caps, exclamation point! The bridal party was fun, the guests were fun, the venue staff was fun, the DJ was fun, I literally had so. much. fun! I mean, just look at these pictures! Be sure to check out the cake cutting ones! Now that’s how you cut a wedding cake! Kira and Adam are a dream to photograph, they trust you completely and look so cute doing it. They are so easy-going and feel like close friends in the first 5 minutes you meet them.
Everything about this day was wonderful. Sometimes you work really hard for it and sometimes you just get lucky. Cheers to these two and lifetime full of unscripted giggle kisses.
