SAN DIEGO CENTRAL LIBRARY WEDDING
Every once in awhile a wedding comes along that just speaks to you on so many different levels. That was this wedding for me. I absolutely LOVED photographing Carolyn and James’ San Diego Central Library Wedding. It was one of my favorite weddings of 2019 and easily became one of my favorite San Diego wedding venues. It only makes sense to get married in the place that houses all the great love stories that have ever been written. (Shamelessly stolen from Carrie Bradshaw.)
Can we also just talk about Carolyn’s Audrey Hepburn style for a second?! OBSESSED. With everything. Every single detail was absolutely perfect, from her diamond studs, pearl strand necklace, and white satin gloves to her jeweled hair piece and pleated dress. If there was ever a time to use the phrase, “I literally can’t even…” it would be now.
Besides Carolyn’s classic beauty and sophisticated style, I was enamored with the reception table centerpieces! Stacks of books sat on each table adorned with florals that matched Carolyn’s bouquet and floral decor. It was such an incredible touch for a library wedding! Details are so important. They really help to tell the story of the entire wedding day and that’s why I always make them such a priority.
After 17 years Carolyn and James are married! It was a small intimate affair, for only the closest of family and friends. In fact, I was completely surprised to run into another #vrosewedding couple Rachel + Darren whose cliffside elopement I photographed last year! What a small world!
I am so glad that I got to be a part of Carolyn and James’ gorgeous wedding day. Carolyn made such a beautiful bride, it just makes my heart swell. She and James were so much fun to photograph and trusted our vision completely. I’m so excited to see what the future hold for these two! May their love story also be housed with the greats one day…
